PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce has always focused on building community relationships and encouraging local small businesses in their professional development. They were looking to communicate this focus more effectively to the surrounding community. To accomplish this, they needed branding and visual representation that reflected the excitement and dedication that the organization stands for.
In 2014, the Chamber of Commerce took on an extensive project to rebrand themselves and strengthen their presence as a community-focused organization. Imagineering Studios was selected from among the marketing firms in the Arlington Heights area to help build upon their vision.
By the time Imagineering Studios was brought onboard, the Marketing Committee had already done some deep research on their positioning with the local businesses and consumers. The tagline, “Connect, Engage, Succeed,” was given as the basis of the brand. We used that as our roadmap for creating the visual representation of the organization.
THE DESIGN
Using the conciseness of the tagline and the motif of “three” as a base, we developed a design that communicated the excitement of community in an elegant and simple way.
The logo is an abstract of three figures brought together with their arms raised and communicates the feeling of community and excitement. The multiplicity in color gives a visual expression of the tagline and also serves as a representation of diversity in the community.
MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED
In addition to the development of the branding and the design of the logo, we provided designs and imagery for the extended collateral that the Chamber needed. This included stationery, membership materials, headshots, a business profile video and a completely redesigned website that integrates a third party database into an informational bedrock.
Our unique positioning allowed us to produce all of the design, web development and video production in-house without having to reach to additional vendors for the project. This gave our studio complete control over the quality and consistency of the entire project.
